If you do get the pins out and want to attach more wires, and in lieu of the proper crimp tool: just solder. The easier way is to look around for a MOLEX pin extractor. This item is not returnable for any reason. This tool is very delicate and the tips can be broken very easily if you do not know what you are doing Please use care. Basically, use a small circular 'shim' to go between the pin & the connector body and retract the barbs. This minifit tool can remove the pins from mini-fit pin connectors like the P4 ATX, EPS12V 8-pin, 6-pin and 8-pin PCI Express, and 24-pin connectors on your power supply. Look at the end of the connector and see the 2 barbs on the pin. ![]() With the aid of a pair of needle-nose pliers, one can easily remove the (male) pins. ![]() The plunger simply pushes the pin out of the conector. ![]() The tube slides over the outside of the pin and retracts two small 'barbs' back into the pin. The extraction tool is basically a round tube on the outside with a plunger down the middle. Yes there are special tools to crimp the pins onto the wire and to extrct the pins from the connector body.
